Understanding Neck Pain
Neck pain is common, especially with prolonged desk work, fixed postures, or repetitive movements. We see adults with musculoskeletal (mechanical) neck pain and related stiffness that can make everyday tasks feel harder than they should be.
Neck pain is common, especially with prolonged desk work, fixed postures, or repetitive movements. We see adults with musculoskeletal (mechanical) neck pain and related stiffness that can make everyday tasks feel harder than they should be.
We can assess:
Mechanical neck pain, often linked with ergonomic postures, prolonged sitting, or repetitive tasks
Stiffness, soreness, or restricted movement in the neck and upper shoulders
Pain associated with muscular tension, joint strain, or mechanical irritation
Our Approach
Individual assessment: We begin with a thorough history and examination to understand your symptoms and contributing factors. Imaging (such as X-ray or MRI) is not routinely required and will only be suggested if clinically appropriate.
Care options: If suitable, chiropractic care may involve a combination of joint mobilisation or manipulation to support movement and comfort, soft-tissue techniques for tight or sensitive areas, and exercise-based approaches to build tolerance and confidence.
Self-management: We provide guidance on ergonomics, movement habits, and simple exercises to support self-care between visits.
Assessment, Referral and Collaborative Care
